News Flashes

Thursday, September 2, 2010—New Well, Delinquent accounts

Our new well has now been online for about a month.  The well is producing some bubbles, which you may notice in your water---this is normal and harmless and should disappear as the well becomes more developed. Finally operating the well is the culmination of a process started by Board member Ron Stafford about three years ago.  System operators Levi Sandoval and Bidal Martinez and Board member Clay Kilmer have played a significant role in bringing the new well into operation.  The new well is not operating a full capacity because our current demands are being met, so this new well should provide for our water needs for the foreseeable future.  We will have the old well #1 available as a back-up.

With the approval of the minutes of the July 18, 2010 meeting at the August 29 BOD meeting, tough new rules regarding delinquent accounts have gone into effect. A complete set of the governing rules under which the BMDWCA operates can be found here.  You are especially encouraged to review section VI of the rules and regulations (html or pdf). The rules will be applied retroactively after a grace period, so members with delinquent accounts are encouraged to pay their accounts as quickly as possible before the membersÕ water is locked out, the account is turned over to a collection agency, and a lien is put on the property.

WELCOME

The Board of Directors (BOD) want you, the members of BMDWCA, to be as informed as possible about the status of your water system and the activities of your water system manager and BOD.   If the information you want is not here, please feel free to contact any member of the BOD.

To start, you'll want to check out "news flashes", system status, your obligations as a member, recent postings, and budget information.  The buttons to the left will take you to many more places, some still under development.

To rapidly disseminate information to the members, we are building an e-mail distribution list.  To be included, send a message to irvl@att.net.  Also, if you discover ÒbugsÓ in this website, please send a message to irvl@att.net.

The BOD welcomes your participation and invites you to attend meetings of the Board.  Meetings are nominally held at 8 AM on the third Sunday of each month but the day and time varies depending upon the availability of members and the urgency of business.  Meetings are sometimes curtailed during the winter.  Meeting time, location, and agenda will be posted here and on the bulletin board across from the Cliff View restaurant.

Next BOD Meeting: to be announced.
